Blandford Forum's town park by the River Stour provides a place to rest, play, fish or watch the wildlife. Regular events are held on the meadows allowing people to interact with the ‘tame’ wildlife such as the nationally acclaimed and often filmed otters, and to feed the swans and ducks. The lido (outdoor swimming pool) has long disappeared along with the punts that were once available to hire on the Leat stream. The Mortain bridge (named after Blandford's twinned town in France) leads you to Stour Meadows and beyond.
