Making the plan
The Bere Regis Neighbourhood plan was formally made on Tuesday 25 June 2019 as shown on the decision notice. It now forms part of the development plan for the area formerly known as Purbeck.
Referendum
The decision notice shows how the full Council meeting held on Tuesday 19th March 2019 decided the plan should proceed to referendum following the examiners report.
Referendum took place on 2 May 2019 to decide whether local electors wanted Dorset Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Bere Regis to help decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area.
The following question was put to voters:
"Do you want Dorset Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Bere Regis to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
