Nature Recovery Dorset Update 13 – July 2025

Consultation closes on Dorset's local nature recovery strategy

Thank you to everyone who got involved in the consultation between 7 May to 30 July 2025. 

It has been great to hear your views on nature recovery through events, drop-ins, emails and the consultation survey.

We received a total of 375 responses to the consultation. All feedback will be carefully analysed and the strategy will be updated. A summary of the consultation findings will also be published.

The final version of the strategy will then be presented to BCP Council and Natural England as part of the formal pre-publication approval process this Autumn. Final publication and adoption by Dorset Council is expected in December.
